Esther Heiserman
Mrs. Wilbert (Esther) Heiserman, age 83, of Clear Lake, passed away December 2, 1982 at the Deuel County Memorial Hospital in Clear Lake. Mrs. Heiserman was born a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charley Bengtson on April 11, 1899 in Lac Qui Parle Co., MN. She was baptized and confirmed in Providence Lutheran Church. She grew to womanhood on a farm south of Madison, MN and was married to Invald (Ding) Hinsvark on November 24, 1923 in Minneapolis, MN. They lived in Minneapolis for five years before moving to Gary, SD, where she was a cook at the School for the Blind for 25 years. She and her husband also operated a café in Gary for several years. Mr. Hinsvark passed away in 1956. She married Wilbert Heiserman on September 4, 1966 at the Methodist Church in Gary. She entered the Good Samaritan Center in Clear Lake in October of 1980.
She was a member of the united Methodist Church of Gary, the Rebecca Lodge and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband, Wilbert of Clear Lake; one son, William (Sonny) Hinsvark of Anoka, MN; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, five sisters and one brother.
Funeral services were held December 4, 1982 at 2 PM from the united Methodist Church in Gary, SD with the Rev Ralph Dunn officiating.
