The Lawrence County native attended the Church of Christ and was the son of the late william Henry and Isla Greer Brawner. He was an employee of Simplicity Pattern Company in Niles, Michigan for 20 years, and earlier was a long-time driver and operator for Polly Bus Lines between Columbia and Mt.Pleasant.
Survivors include three brothers, Joe Brawner and Claude Brawner, both of Mt. Pleasant, and Raymond Bawner of Summertown; and three sisters, Hazel Cummins, Inez Adams and Amy Cummins, all of Mt. Pleasant.
Pallbearers are Kenny Cummins, Bobby Cummins, Robbie Frazier, Tony Brawner, Barry Brawner, Austin Adams, Ray Hanback and Charles Oxford.
