Phillip Hauger
Phillip Hauger, age 74, passed away on March 25, 1982 at a Canby, MN hospital. Mr. Hauger was born on May 10, 1907, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Hauger at Revillo, SD. he moved to the Gary, SD community in 1911 and has lived on a farm two miles east of Gary since. He served in the Army in World War II. He was a member of St. Peter's Catholic church and of the Peden-Cole Post 109 of the American Legion.
He is survived by four brothers, Edward of Canby, MN; William of Gary, SD, John of Gary, SD and Henry of Clear Lake, SD; four sisters, Mrs. Mary McKigney of Villard, MN, Mrs. Odelia McLain of Canby, MN, Mrs. Stanton (Frances) Stone of Canby, Mn, and Mrs. Jack (Clara) Meister of Detroit, Michigan; several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial was held on March 29., 1982 at 10:30 am at the St. Peter's Catholic Church in Gary with Rev. Fr. Leo Fox as the Celebrant. Casket bearers were Russell, Dennis, Wayne and Joe Hauger, Jim McLain and Gayle Warwick.
