John F. Roberts, 74, of West Peoria, IL., passed away at 12:06 am Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at his residence with his family by his side.
On Sunday, October 26, 1947, John was born in Peoria, IL. He is the son of Harold and Margaret Webb Roberts. He married Karen L. Cox in Pekin, IL.
He is survived by his wife; one daughter; one son and two stepsons and daughter-in-laws. Also surviving are seven grandchildren; one great-granddaughter and one sister and brother-in-law.
His parents; one brother, Eugene and one sister, Mary Arndt all preceded him in death.
He was an honorably discharged U.S. Army veteran. John worked for the city of Peoria Public Works Department, retiring in 1987, as a foreman. He was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Peoria.
Cremation Rites have been accorded. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, June 21, at 11:00 am at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Peoria. Visitation will be one hour prior to his service, also at the church.
