Retired Lieutenant of Wilkes County
Harold Eugene Martin born December 11, 1965 in Surry County to the late Nathan and Viola Martin.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Baby Martin, Howard Martin and Raymond Martin.
Harold deported this life June 10, 2022. Harold was an East Wilkes High School Graduate. He had a passion for football. He developed a weight- lifting program at East High entitled Bigger, Faster, Stronger. Weightlifting was something he loved. He served the community as a lieutenant for Wilkes County Sherriff's department for over twenty plus years until his retirement and then was promoted to rank of Pop Pop.
He loves to cherish beautiful memories with wife Cecilia Martin his children Heather (Jacob), Harold (Erika), Taneisha, Taneika, Taylor, Taniya and Easton, ten grandchildren who he adored and sisters he loved very much, Roberta Richardson, Henrietta Martin, Rosetta Parsons, Hazel Barnes, Marie Martin and Cynthia Hampton. A special friend Eric Byrd.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday June 15, 2022 at Reins-Sturdivant Chapel.
Burial will be at Poplar Spring Baptist Church Cemetery.
