Jennifer L. Waters, 71, of Scranton, died Monday at Mid-Valley Manor, Peckville.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Charles Dorman and Mary Elizabeth Kearney Waters, she was a graduate of Scranton Technical High School and had received a certificate from both Mercy and Moses Taylor hospitals' radiology departments.

Before retirement, she was employed by Lackawanna County Community Development Department, PennDOT and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Dept. of Public Assistance.

Jennifer was a devoted member of Grace Bible Church, Dunmore, where she was active with the church Sound Ministry Fellowship Teaching.

Jennifer's family would like to thank the staff at Mid-Valley Manor and the VNA Hospice for all their dedicated care. And a special thank you to her dear friend Valerie Medley and to Jennifer's Grace Bible family for always being there for Jennifer and all their devoted care.

Surviving are a brother, Dorman Waters and wife, Gail, Scranton; a sister, Beverly Waters, Bronx, N.Y.; nieces and nephews, Christian Brady, Fred Jr., Clark and Lara Thompson, Ethel Elizabeth and Michael Waters, Monique Waters and Kimberly McMichael; her sister-in-law, Jeanette Waters; and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by sisters, Eleanor Waters Thompson and Virginia Waters; and a brother, Richard Waters.
