Elizabeth (Lambdin) Ford, age 70 of Hockessin, DE, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, June 8, 2022.

She was born in Talbot, MD, daughter of the late Lester and Fannie (Walls) Lambdin. Liz married the love of her life, John Ford, when they were 16 and from the moment they saw each other, they knew they would spend a lifetime together. In addition to raising her family, Liz worked for the family business, Fords Lawn and Tree Service, as the secretary. She loved to fish, camp, and travel; and above all else, spend time with her 3 grandchildren.

In addition to her husband of 53 years, she is survived by her daughters, Christina Smith (Griffin) and Jessica Tagle (Edward); and her grandchildren, Ashley, John, and Alexander.

A funeral service will be celebrated at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at the Doherty Funeral Home, 3200 Limestone Road, Wilmington, DE 19808, where family and friends may visit beginning at 10:00am. Interment will be private.
