Helen Jones, 86, of Fruitland, departed this life on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Manokin Center for Rehabilitation and Healthcare in Princess Anne. Born in Westover, she was the daughter of the late George Jones and Lucy Jones. Her husband, Edward Jones, also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Jones was a member of Apostolic Faith Church in Pocomoke. She was a housekeeper for various families.
She will be lovingly remembered by: one daughter, Shirley Peters (Arvy); four sons, William Holland, George Jones, Linwood Jones (Jackie), and Allen Jones (Lori); three sisters, Mary Simpson, Josephine Jones, and Loretta Dorsey; two caregivers, Marilyn Bryant and Vonceal Urquhart; 10 grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, in-laws, and friends.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by two sons, Edward Jones and Calvin Jones.
Mrs. Jones will lie in repose on Friday, June 17, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM and Saturday, June 18, 2022, from 12 to 1 PM at Lewis N. Watson Funeral Home, P.A., 1618 West Road, Salisbury. The funeral service will begin at 1 PM. Masks are required. Interment will follow the funeral service at Green Acres Memorial Park, Inc., West Road, Salisbury.
