Jeanette "Lorraine" Johnson Passed away at Froedtert Hospital on Monday evening, December 27, 2021, just two months after her beloved husband Jack left her on November 1, 2021. Lorraine was born in Bessemer, Michigan to parents Elmer G. and Fannie J. Forslund. She is survived by her brother Glenn (Sherry) Forslund, sister-in-law Christine (Late brother Kenneth) Forslund and daughters Pamela (Scott) Repinski and Peggy (Rick) Blake and granddaughter Anna Blake, along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Lorraine moved to Milwaukee one year after graduating from Bessemer High School where she was employed at Allen Bradley in administrative work. She met Jack Johnson at Our Savior's Lutheran Church singles social, where he soon became the love of her life. After a short courtship, they married in Bessemer, Michigan on September 3, 1960. Lorraine fully dedicated herself to homemaking and was highly skilled at many home arts, such as sewing all the family clothing, drapery, bedding, crafting, cooking, and baking and painting. She served her local churches as a volunteer for many years. She was a wonderful mother and wife, putting family first and a true guardian angel to her daughters. She had a quick wit and loved crossword puzzles. Her and Jack resided in Sussex, Wisconsin, Glen Carbon, Illinois and for their last 25 years, in West Bend, Wisconsin. Jack and Lorraine traveled the world in their retirement years, visiting Australia, Iceland, Europe, China, Egypt, Canada, and much of the United States. A joint Memorial will be held for Jack and Lorraine in Bessemer, Michigan in 2022.
