Michael Robert Cheek,59, of Marshall, NC passed away on May 28,2022.

Mike was born on January 10,1963 and lived the majority and best years of his life in his beloved Blue Ridge Mountains.

Preceded in death by his father Robert Bradley Cheek and his mother Wilma Hensley Cheek Ayers. Mike is survived by his daughter, Jaimie Cheek Griffin and her husband Kevin Griffin. He is also survived by his two sisters, Catherine Byers (husband: Butch) and Susan Harris (husband: Donnie) and the mother of his daughter, Sue Cheek.

Mike was employed in the metal industry starting his career as a welder and specializing in metal fabrication. His co-workers lovingly referred to him as "old man".

Mike lived life to the fullest and found his greatest enjoyment spending time outdoors with his friends and family while laughing and generally being up to no good. Mike's daughter, Jaimie, would like to thank Ms. Donna for the love and companionship she offered Mike in his last year's of life.

Mike will be remembered as the kind of man that would give the shirt off his back to any friend in need without asking for anything in return, just like his daddy.

It was Mike's request that there be no memorial or funeral service and his family will be respecting that request.
