Mrs. Linda Nan Manaugh Adams, age 86, of Hanover, Indiana entered this life February 21, 1936 in Jefferson County, Indiana. She was the loving daughter of the late Albert and Laura Callamatta Ditzler Manaugh. She was a 1954 graduate of Hanover High School. She married Melvin Ray Adams on October 1, 1954 at the Hanover United Methodist Church. This happy union of nearly 68 years was blessed with children, Pamela, Johanna, Laura, Michael, Julie and Melinda. She lived her entire life in the Jefferson County community. She was a stay at home mom and homemaker, but spent many hours a day helping her husband on their farm and property. She was a member of the Hanover United Methodist Church and served on the United Methodist Women, especially the church fellowship dinners. She enjoyed sewing, cross-stitching, cooking, and assisting her husband with all his projects around the farm. Linda was faithful to read her Bible daily, she was always giving life lessons to her family. She loved to play euchre with her family. She was a beloved wife, loving mom, grandma, great-grandma, great-great-grandma, sister, aunt and friend. Linda died on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 9:15 a.m. at the Norton King's Daughters' Hospital in Madison, Indiana with her loving family at her side.

Linda will be missed by her loving husband of nearly 68 years, Melvin Ray Adams of Hanover, Indiana; her son in law, Garry Alexander of Whitestown, Indiana; her loving daughters, Johanna "Jodi" Yocum and her husband, Duke of Hanover, Indiana, Laura Chitwood and her husband, Mark Johnson of Hanover, Indiana, Julie Shepherd and her husband, Denny of Lexington, Indiana, Melinda Garrett and her husband, Kenny of Hanover, Indiana; her loving son, Michael Adams and his wife, Donna of Evansville, Indiana; her grandchildren, Adam (Audra), Arin (Tim), Brittini (Zac), Charlie, Brady (Veronica), Brett (Cortney), Brynen (Jessica), Drew (Lindsay), Leah, Emma, Caleb (Morgan), Colten, and Haley (Michael), Abigail; her 16-great grandchildren; and her two great great grandchildren; her sisters, Marilyn Kleopfer of Madison, Indiana, Margaret Gray of Brookfield, Wisconsin, Karen Todd of Hanover, Indiana; her brother, Robert Manaugh and his wife, Therese of Brandon, Florida; her sisters in law, Virginia Adams of Hanover, Indiana, Betty Adams of Hanover, Indiana, Lydia Manaugh of Ohio, Charlene Manaugh of Madison, Indiana, Evelyn Handlon of Hanover, Indiana; her brother-in-law, Clifford Adams of New Washington, Indiana; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her father, Albert Manaugh, died March 6, 1985, her mother, Laura Callamatta Ditzler Manaugh, died November 6, 1997, her daughter, Pamela Adams Alexander, died January 16, 2022, her grandson, Derrick Lee Yocum, died April 15, 2013, her brothers, Jack Norman Manaugh, died July 28, 1994, James Nelson Manaugh, died October 28, 1994, Albert Richard "Dick" Manaugh, died March 7, 2004.
FUNERAL CEREMONY
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, June 18, 2022, at 1:00 p.m., by Rev. Brynen Chitwood at the Hanover United Methodist Church, 220 East LaGrange Road in Hanover, Indiana. Interment will follow in the Carmel Cemetery in Hanover, Indiana.
VISITATION
Friends may visit Friday, June 17, 2022 from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Hanover United Methodist Church and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service in the sanctuary at the Hanover United Methodist Church, 220 East LaGrange Road in Hanover, Indiana.
