Stacey Lea Cox, a mother of 5, a daughter, a sister, a loving girlfriend, a friend to anyone in need, and "Aunt Stace Dawg" to many, passed away in her Duncannon home, on her own terms at the young age of 43 on April 3rd, 2017. She was born August 9, 1973 to Janet Cox and the late William Cox. Among others that will always remember and cherish her are her five children, Brittany, Ryan, Alex, Nick, and Taylor; her sister, Michelle Auxt, married to Jeffrey Auxt, and her brother Kris Cox, married to Lisa Cox; and her nieces and nephews, Dustin, Brandi, Shane, Daniel, Rachel, Tyler and Hailey. She was a loving girlfriend and a memorable friend to many. She was a 1991 graduate of Dauphin County Vo-Tech and a 2015 graduate of the KTI Dental Assistant Program. She kept to herself a lot of the time, but if you needed anything, she would be there with no questions asked. Some would say she was shy or reserved and others knew her wild side. She made her fair share of mistakes, but she was aware of her faults. She felt this guilt deeply; too deeply to overcome it. Since battling addiction and mental health issues, her true being was taken from us years ago. We say that to shed light on the reality of these circumstances, with hope that others will know that they do not have to stay in the dark. We can rejoice in the bounds of fond memories of who she was before she entered her downfall, and even who she became because she truly did the best she could, given the circumstances. We are thankful for the countless smiles and laughs we've shared with her. She was bright and brilliant; good at anything she tried, a self proclaimed expert, if you will. She sang along and knew the words to every song. She took quiet delight in reading books. She loved feeling the warmth of sunshine and being outside at night, watching the flames of a bonfire. She especially enjoyed hanging out along the Susquehanna River. She loved plants and flowers and always had several thriving aloe plants and spider plants in her home. Each spring, she planted colorful pansies and other flowers in her yard. She had a special bond with her dog Bloo. Her favorite release of all time was driving late at night with the music blaring, usually barefoot. We want to pay our final respects to her unique personality and colorful life story by having a Celebration of Life gathering. Anyone who would like to attend to share memories of their good times with her is welcome to attend on Sunday, April 23rd, 2017 from 5-9PM at Whitetail Lodge in Marysville, 30 Brubeck Circle Marysville, PA 17053 In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to her memorial fund at https://www.gofundme.com/StaceyCoxMemorial in order to assist the family in covering the final expenses of her unexpected passing.
