David Davison of Guthrie, Oklahoma was quiet but had an air of confidence about him. He graduated from Deer Creek High School in 2003 and attended numerous Catholic Heart work camps, assisting those in need throughout the United States. After the events of 9/11, he made his decision to serve his country. He had enlisted early into the military branch, The Navy, so that he could immediately enter boot camp upon graduation. Prior to his induction into the Navy, David was a youth counselor at Our Lady of Guadelupe. David has been stationed in Norfolk, VA (May 2004 to February 2005) and Sigonella, Sicily (February 2005 to September 2007) and Corpus Christi, TX (October 2007 to January 2008). He served approximately nine months in Kuwait and was anticipating deployment to Bahrain later in the year. His recognitions and medals are as follows: Petty Officer Davison has been awarded the Air Medal Flight Award (1st & 2nd ), Navy And Marine Corps Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon, Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (Two Awards), Navy and Marine Corps Overseas Service Ribbon, Sharpshooter Pistol Ribbon and Sharpshooter Rifle Ribbon. His is designated as a Naval Aircrewman with Breast Insignia and Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist with Breast insignia. To include, Two Flag Letters of Commendation and Letter of Appreciation. David was preceded in death by great-grandmothers, Wilma Collier , Jewell Johnson, Lois Sherrill, great-grandfathers, Virgil Sherrill and Fairl Johnson, Fred Collier; grandfathers, Delbert Davison, Charles G. Kelley, Sr., Warren Amason, aunts, Sandra Collier of Texas and Sylvia Kelley. He was 22.
