Marvin Edward Jones, 89, of Wheatland, IA passed away Monday, October 17, 2016 at Wheatland Manor. Funeral service will be at 12:00 noon, Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Summitt Church, Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be an hour before the service. Burial will be in the Summitt Cemetery. Marvin was born on August 29, 1927 in Argo, Iowa the son of Charles and Kathleen (Bonner) Jones. He was a proud lifelong farmer. Marvin was united in marriage to Frances Hoffman on August 30, 1948. He had unconditional love for his family and adored his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Marvin was a lifetime member of Summit Church. He was an excellent woodworker. Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife of 68 years, Frances Jones; children: Dennis (Deanna) Jones, Bradley Jones, Charles Jones and Kay (Joel) Jones; fifteen grandchildren and twenty-three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, daughters Brenda Knoche and Audrey Dalchow, brother, Charles Jones and sister, Ceora Altman.
