Betty Jo Lewis Morrison, 61, of Cherryville passed away January 18, 2018. Betty was born on March 13, 1956 in Lincoln County to the late Ralph and Elvie Mason Lewis. Betty was an avid sewer at Varat. She was on the Care Team at Second Baptist Church-Cherryville, where she loved being a member. Betty loved to spend time with her family along with her beloved puppies Buddy and Lucky.
In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her step-father Glen Lutz, Marshal (Bud) and Ella Sigmon, one sister; Janice Boone, and one brother; Dean Lewis.
Betty is survived by her beloved husband of 30 years Terry W. Morrison of the home in Cherryville, one son; Barry McMahan and wife Christine of Lincolnton, one stepson; Jeremy Morrison of Alaska, grandchildren; Jessica Parris of Maiden, Chelsea Benson (Chris) of Georgia, Barry Lee McMahan II of Lincolnton, step-grandchildren; Breanna Brown and Orais Morrison, Great Grandchildren; Mason, Alexia, Colton, Corbyn, Grant, and Chance, two sisters in law; Melissa Fanning (Kenny) of Kings Mountain, and Gina Kurley of Shelby, parent in laws Winston and Brenda Morrison, Best Friend Cathy Sigmon of Maiden, and a host of cherished nieces and nephews.
The Morrison family will receive friends on Monday January 22, 2018 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Goodin-Drum Funeral Home in Maiden, NC. A funeral service will follow at 1 pm in the Chapel of Goodin-Drum Funeral Home. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery following the funeral service. Walter Winston Morrison will officiate.
