William Bedford "Bill" Lewis, 63, of Broseley, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at his residence.

On March 10, 1979, he married Gayla Faye Barnes in Poplar Bluff. She preceded him in death on June 14, 2012.

Bill was born March 18, 1959, in Poplar Bluff to Enoch Bedford Lewis and Norma B. Kearbey. He was a retired farm hand and an avid outdoorsman. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles and was known to be a champion pool player. The times he treasured most were being with his family and grandchildren.

Survivors include two children, James 'Blake' Lewis, Sr, of Broseley and Christal (Michael) Chism of Greenville; his companion, Pat Truelove of Neelyville, brothers and sisters, Melvin (Kelly) Miller of Advance, Lester (Sarah) Knox, Earney and (Sonya) Knox, of Poplar Bluff, Melissa (Chuck) Whitney of Jackson, Linda (Darrell) Jeffries of Bellflower, Missouri, and Glenda (Jerry) Burke also of Poplar Bluff; six grandchildren and 40 nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, a son, William Bedford Lewis Jr., his parents and four siblings, Jerry Kearby, Geary Miller, Larry Miller, and Carolyn Mansfield.

A Gathering of family and friends will be from 1 to 3 pm Saturday June 11, 2022, at Cotrell Willow Ridge Funeral Chapel in Poplar Bluff.
