Toni Lynn Painter, 47, of Dorothy passed away on Jan. 17, 2008, at CAMC Hospital in Charleston.

Toni was born on July 10, 1960, in Williamson, a daughter of Jacqueline Swafford Cooper Smith of Whitesville, and the late Carl E. Cooper.

Toni was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Floyd C. Smith.

Along with her mother, Toni leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Jack "J.L." Painter Jr.; two sons, Christopher D. Cooper and companion, Joanna McGraw of Dorothy, and Brandon Shane Painter and wife, Nikki, of Shady Springs; sisters, Carlene Nunley and husband, Larry, Penny Carpenter and companion, Jimmy Dean, and Barbara Meador and husband, Dennis, all of Whitesville; brothers, Larry Cooper and wife, Donetta, of Orgas, Roger Cooper and companion, Carolyn, and Gary Cooper and wife, Sharon, all of Whitesville; grandchildren, Austin, Kendall, Emira and Ainsley; special nieces and nephews, Mark, Matt, Jacob, Nicholas, Johney, Jermiah, Hope and Amber; special friend, Kathy Long; and a host of many others.
