Linda Dianne McGinnis, 73, of Wellston, passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022, at Holzer Medical Center Jackson after a lengthy illness. She was born March 28, 1949 to the late Harry L. "Hade" and Ethel Pearl Humphreys Gilliland in Coalton, Ohio. Linda was married to her love, William H. McGinnis, Sr. twice. Once on October 4th, 1969 and again on November 6th, 1977. She was a loving homemaker who enjoyed crafts, her tablet, and had the "gift of gab", she could talk to anyone. Linda loved her family immensely and cherished her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, William H. McGinnis, Jr. of California, Tiffani L. Stanley of Florida, Sandra K. McGinnis (Richard Hall) of Wellston, Jami McGinnis (Billy Lavinder), Jason "Baby Bear" McGinnis of Jackson, Lynnesi Myers (Phillip Lehman) of Glen Roy and William W. Miller of Newark; grandchildren, Jerad Stanley, Justin Ohm, Kassidi Smith (Jessie), Marcena Ross (Graceyn), Mario "Petey" Sanchez, Kelsi Bowman, Psydin Sprouse, Jayce McGinnis, Blake McGinnis, Kennedi Reffitt, Braiden Myers, Braeli Myers, Laithen Lenigar, and one more on the way; several great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter, the love of her life, Karter Reffitt; sisters, Karen Sue Van Wie of South Carolina, Kathy J. Fugett of Jackson and Kristy L. Napper (Terry) of Hamden; friend of 63 years Pamela Huffman Miller and friend of 47 years Carolyn Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. McGinnis; mother-in-law, Marcena Denny; brothers, Donald Haythe, Sr., Harry Gilliland, Jr., Stephen Gilliland, Sr., and Shawn Gilliland; sister, Patsy Peck; son-in-law, Lewis Cooper; grandchildren, Joshua Ray and Steven Stanley; along with her favorite cousin Carolyn Fox and her best friend Mildred Hill. Calling hours will be Sunday, June 12th, from 12 to 4 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston. Funeral service will follow the calling hours at 4 p.m. with Pastor Steve Mathews officiating. In keeping with Linda's wishes, cremation will follow the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston.
