Elizabeth Guthrie of Windsor, CT departed this life peacefully on Friday April 2, 2021. Born to the late Walter and Mary Dickson in Luverne, Alabama in February of 1924. She lived in Alabama before moving to Connecticut in 1943. Elizabeth was one of six children. She worked as a cook at Maple Hill Restaurant in West Hartford, and was a dedicated employee of Food Service for the town of Bloomfield. Along with being the matriarch of our loving family, she was also a faithful member of The First Cathedral Church of Bloomfield, a devoted member of the Diaconate Ministry for many many years. Sister Elizabeth Guthrie really loved her church family and first family. She really enjoyed having family holiday dinners and loved to always travel with her husband. Elizabeth was predeceased by her beloved Husband Joshua Guthrie, her Brother Robert Dickson, and her Sisters Ethel Childs, Eula Mae Lewis, and Annie Ruth Davis. She leaves behind her remaining sister Marie Manning of Bloomfield, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and a devoted Godson Errol Archer.

Services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021 at 11:00 am, with a 10:00 am calling hour at The First Cathedral Church Bloomfield, CT. Burial immediately following at Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery, Bloomfield, CT.
