In the evening hours of June 4th, our dearly beloved & cherished wife, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend Tina Marie (Gustke) Newsome was peacefully cradled in our Lord's loving arms and gently guided to her heavenly home.

Tina was born October 8, 1961, in Johnson City, New York, to Danny and Barbara (Buckland) Gustke. Tina was the oldest of four children and a 1979 graduate of Waupaca High School. Immediately after graduation, Tina started working at the WI Veterans Home in King as a CNA and a Medical Program Assistant Associate, until she retired in 2015.

Tina married the love of her life, Glen Newsome, on July 16, 1983, at the Crystal Lake Church in Waupaca. For almost 40 years, Tina and Glen lived their life together on their family farm. Tina was a passionate animal lover. She loved her horse, Comanche, and her many birds, but she truly considered her dogs to be like her children. They would sit at her side and bring her a sense of comfort like no other.

Tina was a loving and caring woman who touched our hearts with her genuine love and compassion. She believed that spending and enjoying time with family was one of her greatest blessings. Her nieces and nephews have always been her pride and joy. She cherished the "little" moments and the "big" hugs they gave her when they were young, and she was extremely proud of them and their accomplishments as adults.

During the deer hunting season, Tina's house was the meeting place for the hunters where great stories were told and great friendships were made. Tina's father and brothers often joined her in the woods, but some of Tina's most treasured hunting memories were spent hunting with her longtime friend and hunting companion, Carol Phillips. The two of them spent many days trapesing through the woods in search of the perfect buck and four-wheel riding through the woods.

In addition to crocheting, Tina was an avid quilter. Tina's quilts were the product of a great labor of love. She put a lot of time, effort, and love into meticulously designing, cutting, and stitching together the pieces of the perfect quilt that she designed for someone special to her heart. When you sleep under one of Tina's quilts, you sleep under a blanket of love.

Tina is survived by her husband Glen Newsome; her mother, Barbara Gustke; her sister, Paulene (Frank Proszenyak) Kipke; two brothers, Danny (Cheryl) Gustke Jr. and Teddy Gustke; brothers-in-law, Lee (Darlene) Newsome, Olyn Smith, and Bill (Sandy) Smith. She was the proud Aunt and Great Aunt to Andrew (Anna) Kipke (ch. Nora), Steven (Bonnie) Prozsenyak, Jamie (Rowdy) Bockin (ch. Lukas, Cole, Kaleb, & Lennox), Brittany Bockin, Sheridan Bellis (ch. Rylee & Kynzlee), Nikki (Eric) June (ch. Carter, Lillian, Xander), Gauge Roberts, Drew (Gabby) Roberts (ch. Weston), Evan Gustke, C'era Gustke, Howie (Lisa) Abhold, (ch. Nikki Jo, Cody, Brook, & Sydney), Harriet (Craig) Robbins, (ch. Josh, Caitlyn & Hannah), Charles Abhold, (ch. Elsie & Natasha), Chris Abhold (ch. Autumn), Betty (Ken) Deeb (ch. Sophia & Vivian), Lee Micheal (Angela) Newsome, (ch. Hayden & Hannah). Additional loved ones include but are not limited to: Jim (late Della) Hamm, Jack (Becky) Hamm, Tom (Carol) Hamm, Theresa (Robbin) Johnson, Michelle (Dan) Hamm. Tina is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins and other dear relatives and friends.

Tina was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Danny Lewis Gustke; father and mother-in-law, Howard and Ruth Newsome; her Godfather & special Uncle, Ted Niewinski; special family members Mark Hamm and Artie Hamm, along with many other cherished aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A private graveside service will be held at Crystal Lake Cemetery in Waupaca, WI.

Tina's family would like to extend their sincerest appreciation to the Crossroads Care Center of Weyauwega staff and residents for making a difference in Tina's day-to-day life. You cannot possibly know just how much your support and kindness has meant to her over the last two years. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to all of you for your prayers, love, cards, and words of kindness.

"Tina would like you all to know that her work here is done. She received a call, sort of an offer she couldn't refuse, for an appointment from which she will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, and a reunion with family and friends she has not seen in a long time."

Memorial Donations are appreciated and can be sent to: Barbara Gustke, N1850 Co. Road E, Waupaca, WI 54981.
