Together they were very active in their First Christian Church Lovington. Mary was a graduate of the Julia Burnham School of Nursing, Champaign, Illinois, she was very proud of her career as an RN and was a loyal employee her whole career at the Sullivan Illinois Masonic Home. Mary was a very accomplished quilter and she always had a quilt to be working on. After her son's passing, she moved to Texas to be near family which made her happy, but she always thought of her Lovington friends and wonderful neighbors.

Family was everything to her and she will always be remembered for her large family Easter Egg Hunt Dinners. Nothing could make her smile as much as spending time with her grandchildren.
