EDMOND -- Zachary James Shipley, 20, of Edmond passed away July 16, 2000, in a traffic accident.
Born Feb. 16, 1980, in Oklahoma City, Zach attended Oklahoma State University and was enjoying his summer vacation. A music lover, the hours that he spent playing the guitar and writing songs entertained all of those blessed to know him.
Always quick with a smile and a hug, Zach brightened all our lives.
Zach is preceded in death by his grandfather, V.B. Blackburn; and his uncle, David Randall Shipley.
He is survived by his parents, Dale and Carol Shipley, of Edmond; brothers, Jared Lane Shipley and Chad Andrew Shipley, both of Norman; and his grandparents, Betty and Frank Porter of Duncan and Ray and Dorothy Shipley of Ardmore.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2000, at the First Baptist Church with interment following at Gracelawn Cemetery, Edmond.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Edmond.
