Betty J. Mitchell, 91, resident of Eldorado passed away Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Eldorado Nursing and Rehab. Betty was born October 25, 1930 in Eldorado to the late Emil and Ruth (Jones) Choisser. She married Gerald Frank Mitchell who preceded her in death February 20, 2014. She was a member of Union Grove Baptist Church where she had been a Sunday School Teacher. Betty taught school in Galatia and Eldorado, finally retiring from Galatia. She coached girls' sports at Galatia High School. She enjoyed tending to her flowers. She always seemed to have a batch of Tiger Butter freshly prepared in case she had company. She enjoyed making it for her family and friends....In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister: Jean White. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Friday, June 10, 2022 at Colonial Terrace Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Darrell Ford officiating. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to service time on Friday. Burial will be in Wolf Creek Cemetery.
