Paula was born on May 17, 1955, in Moline, the daughter of Walter and Violet (Bales) Hendrix.
She married James Jordan on October 4, 1975, in Moline. Paula worked as a CNA for many years. She also worked for the Rock Falls police department as a crossing guard at Dillon School for 28 years. Paula would always find a way to help others in need. She volunteered countless hours to the food pantries, 4H clubs, Brownies and working the t-ball concessions at the park district. She was very dedicated to her church and was involved with teaching Sunday school classes. She was an avid reader and enjoyed crafting. Paula was very family oriented and cherished the time she spent with her family, her grandchildren were her greatest joy. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Survivors include her husband; six children, four daughters and two sons and their wives; one son-in-law; eleven siblings, eight sisters and three brothers; five brothers-in-law; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Tim Jordan; her twin brother, Paul in infancy; her siblings, Nancy Silverman, Linda Murdock, Donald Hendrix, Marlys Schaeckenbach and Ardith Thomas.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 10:00 – 11:00 A.M. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Sterling. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Private burial will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery
