Joseph W. Perry, age 94 of New Bedford passed away on Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Mae T. (Lacroix) Perry with whom he shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Ira and Blanche (Turcotte) Perry.

Joseph proudly served in the Army and worked and owned his gas station in New Bedford for many years. Family was very important and always came first. He was a pleasant, easy-going man who loved music, Bingo, spending time at the Casino, cooking and eating seafood, especially mussels and oysters and always loved a good joke. He was loved by many and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his loving children, Robert C. Perry of New Bedford, Raymond W. Perry and his wife Lysle of Saratoga Springs, NY, Ann T. Perry of Pompano Beach, FL, and Donna Perry and her wife Sheila of Attleboro; three sisters, Mabel Kaeterle, Jeannette St. Don, and Georgette Poitras; seven grandchildren, Christine Perry Hogan, Andrea Perry, Jennifer Sant, Julia Martinez, Alyssa Chatani, Benson Perry, Lillian Perry; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Normand Perry.
