Lois L. Adams, 92, of Tower City, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022, at her residence.

Lois was born April 10, 1930, in Newtown, a daughter of late Raymond and Hazel Griffiths Adams.

She grew up in Williamstown and was a graduate of Williamstown High School. She also graduated with a bachelor's degree from Lebanon Valley College and a master's degree from Penn State University.

She spent most of her adult life living on the Main Line in Philadelphia, where she retired as director of special education for the Radnor Township School District in Wayne. There is a yearly award given in her honor at the middle school named the "Lois Adams Award," which is presented to the eighth-grade student who has shown growth and improvement within their middle school career and has demonstrated consistent effort and motivation throughout middle school. She had a passion for placing children in an environment where they could be most successful. She attended Twin Valley Alliance Church in Williamstown.

She is survived by her sister, Nancy Jones, Tower City; her nephew, Jeff Soliday and his wife, Lisa, Tower City; great-niece, Shalee Forsythe and her husband, John, Tower City; great-nephews, Shaun Soliday and his wife, Krissy, Philadelphia, and Joshua and Josiah Soliday, Tower City; great-great-nieces, Avonlea, Rosalie and Jolee Forsythe, Tower City; great-great-nephew, Samuel Soliday, Philadelphia; and many, many dear friends.

Following Lois's wishes, there will be no services, and she will laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Twin Valley Alliance Church, 9781 State Route 209, Williamstown, PA 17098, in her memory. The family would like to thank the folks from Compassion Hospice and Heritage Mills Assisted Living for their wonderful care.
