Patricia Ann Pasley, 73, of Opdyke, Illinois, passed away at 12:52 pm June 3, 2022 at SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital in Mount Vernon, Illinois. She was born January 17, 1949 to the late Lloyd and Vivian Rhodes in Florence, Alabama. Trish married Bruce Pasley on April 7, 1979 at Meadowbrook Christian Church. They were blessed with 43 years of marriage. In addition to her beloved husband, Trish is survived by her son, Christopher Pasley and fiancé, Ellie Carter of San Clemente, California; and brother, John Rhodes of Sierra Vista, Arizona. Trish worked for many years as a legal secretary for A. Ben Mitchell Law Firm. She also worked as a secretary for the Mount Vernon District 80 Schools. For over 20 years she managed the Daystar Christian Bookstore which brought her joy and happiness. Trish was a faithful member of Meadowbrook Christian Church where she was very active in serving the Lord and the community. She loved her horses, baking, and spending time with her dachshund Hanna. Trish was deeply loved and will be missed by her family and friends. A Greeting of Family and will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at Newell Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 9, 2022 at 2:00 pm with Mr. Michael Sheets officiating. Interment will follow at Old Shiloh Cemetery in Mount Vernon.
