Obituary:

Barbara Jean "BJ" Robinson, 73, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, May 30, 2022, in a local health care facility.

She was a graduate of Riverside High School. Barbara was employed by EPB for many years before moving to Atlanta, where she retired from UPS. She loved the Lord and was a faithful member of Mt. Joy Baptist Church. After her return to Chattanooga, she became a member of Trinity Baptist Church. Barbara was very family oriented. She was a home maker and very hospitable. Anyone who came in contact with her will never forget her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Elnora Jones; sisters, Louise McKenzie, Lorraine Jones, Ruth Lee Jones, and Charoley Carson; brothers, Willie D. Jones, Dewey Lee Jones, and Willie Lee Jones.

Survivors include her brother, Lionell (Carrie) Jones of Savannah, Ga.; very loyal and devoted niece, Vickie Jones of Chattanooga; adopted son, Chapalle Montgomery of Atlanta; very dear longtime friends, Rosalind Harris of Chattanooga and Betty Maddox Battle of Atlanta; a host of nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.

Barbara will lie in state on Monday, June 6, from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be on Tuesday, June 7, at 1 p.m. in the chapel with Pastor Ronald Harris as the eulogist. Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
