Ms. Lucille "Lucy" Gegner, age 91, of the Round Top, Kentucky community passed away on Thursday, January 3, 2008, at the McCreary health and Rehabilitation Center in Pine Knot.

Burial, Smith Cemetery in Strunk, Kentucky.

She was born in McCreary County on November 4, 1916. she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Sadie Wilson Richardson. Also preceding her in death are three brothers, Clarence, James Estill and James Luther Richardson and two sisters, Ethel Sargent and Pearlie Richardson.

Surviving family include a daughter Lela M. Ross Stevens of Strunk and two sons Elisha Ross, Jr. and Thelma Taylor of Detroit, Michigan and Columbus "Chris" Ross of Revelo. There is one sister Annie Kuhlemberg of Loveland, Ohio and a brother Charlie Richardson of Loveland, Ohio. There are seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.

Ms. Gegner was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church and enjoyed taking care of her animals, doll collecting and gardening.
Great Aunt Lucy was a sweet lady. She had a hard life but some how always managed to make ends meet. She is loved and missed by many. She was married first to Elijah "Elidge" Ross and they had three children: Columbus 1938, Lela Mae and Elijah Jr. Lucy married several times...Earl Jones, Bob Gegner......
