Debbie Paulette McCarter Johnson of North Wilkesboro passed away Sunday, June 5, 2022 at her home.

Mrs. Johnson was born November 18, 1951 in Wilkes County to the late Jimmie and Hazel McCarter.

She graduated from North Wilkes High School in 1970.

She married the late David Neal Johnson on August 30, 1980.

Debbie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, David Johnson; sisters, Vickie Torrence and Jacqueline McCarter; and brother, David McCarter.

She is survived by her sisters, Ella Mae Sparks and spouse Linvel of Traphill, Jeannie Woodie and spouse Charles, Rita Shepherd and spouse Michael all of North Wilkesboro; brothers, Jim McCarter and Steve McCarter both of North Wilkesboro; Richard McCarter of Taylorsville.

Funeral service will be held in her honor 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
