Beloved husband of the late Belva "Bonnie" Machel (2014). Loved father of Mark (Jamie), Wendy Poetker (Dave) and Jennifer Schultz (Fred). Proud grandfather of Sydney, Zackary, Scott, Matthew, Benjamin and Joshua. Also survived by his sister Hilda Fisher and sister-in-law Heather Machel and brother-in-law Rod Brower. Predeceased by his brother Arthur Machel, sister Elsie Kaufman. sisters-in-law Lois Brower and Norma Long, and brothers-in-law Robert Fisher, James Kaufman and Bert Long. He will be sadly missed by his dear friend Joanne Durnford.
Norm started selling real estate in 1967 and purchased Dubrick Real Estate Ltd. in 1976 and went on to work in the real estate industry until his passing. For the last 22 years he ran Dubrick Property Management Ltd. He loved what he did and never fully retired. Norm will be remembered for his generosity and always willing to give anyone an opportunity to succeed in the real estate business.
Norman's family will receive relatives and friends from 3-5 & 7-9 p.m. on Thursday, December 21st, 2017 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. Private cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 22nd, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a reception at the funeral home. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's General Hospital Cardiac Care Centre would be appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
