Dwight "Ike" Goodwin, 69, of Lehigh Acres, FL, formerly of Plainfield passed away Feb. 28, 2022. He was born May 20, 1952 in Waldoboro, ME a son of the late James and Priscilla (Schuman) Goodwin. Dwight was a graduate of Plainfield High School and received his Master's Degree from Eastern CT State University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and U.S. Navy. Dwight was employed as a Social Worker at Reliance House in Norwich before moving to Lehigh Acres FL in 2011. He was a member of American Legion Post 323 in Lehigh Acres. He leaves a sister Linda Beausoleil and 3 brothers John, James and Stephen Goodwin, also several nieces and nephews. A memorial visiting hour will be held at Dougherty Bros. Funeral Home 595 Norwich Rd. Plainfield on Saturday (06-11-22) from 10 to 11AM followed by burial with Military Honors in St. John Cemetery, Plainfield.
