Billy Ray Ayers, 58, of 344 West Ave., passed away Sunday, March 7. 2004. He was born July 18, 1945 in Haralson County. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Pansy Reddish Ayers; father, Lige Cornelius Ayers; brothers, Bobby Gene and Jerry Lee Ayers; and sisters, Judy and Darlene Ayers. Survivors include sisters, Janice Gail George and Patricia Ann Patterson and brothers, Larry Joe, Douglas and Steve Ayers. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, March 9, at 4 p.m., from the Chapel of the Gammage Funeral Home with Rev. Wyley Butler and Dr. Larry Conner officiating. Interment followed in Little Creek Cemetery in Haralson County. Pallbearers were Kevin Patterson, Donald Ayers, Wayne Ayers, Keith Ayers, Tommy Clark, Bo Swossord and Bryant Ayers. The Gammage Funeral Home of Cedartown was in charge of the arrangements.
