Son of the late Hallie "H A" Wilson and Monteen Skelton Wilson. He was a U.S. Army Reserve veteran, 802 Artillery Ammunition Ordinance out of Gainesville. He was a lifelong native of Lula where he owned and operated Wayne Wilson Pottery. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jackie Wilson; and sister, Jane Stewart. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Pastor Gary W Wilson, Jr. and Lorri of Braselton; daughter, Wendy Wilson of Lula; brothers, Jimmy Wilson of Flowery Branch, and Ricky Wilson of Lula; and sister, Doris Hill of Cornelia.
