Donna was a 1949 graduate of Hutchinson High School and attended Hutchinson Community College. She retired from banking in 1994. Donna worked for many years during the Kansas State Fair and was secretary at First Congregational Church, Hutchinson. She was a founding member of Temple Baptist Church, Hutchinson.
On October 11, 1954, Donna married Willis Franklin Callahan, Sr. He died January 19, 1966.
Donna is survived by: her children, Kathy Rusk and husband John, Bob Callahan and wife Diana, and Frank Callahan, all of Hutchinson, KS; grandchildren, Christy Gable and husband Keith of Hutchinson, KS, Steven Rusk and wife Jenni of Olathe, KS, Cassie Arias and husband Luis of Wichita, KS, and Ciara Corwin and husband Mitch of Wichita, KS; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband; great-grandson, Banks Corwin; and siblings, Lyle Childs, Robert Childs, and Velma Childs.
Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at Memorial Park Cemetery 5905 W. 4th Avenue, Hutchinson, KS, with Pastor Matt Stafford officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Elliott Mortuary.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Temple Baptist Church, First Congregational Church, or Hospice & HomeCare of Reno County, in care of Elliott Mortuary and Crematory, 1219 N. Main, Hutchinson, KS 67501.
