She was born on May 19, 1927, at 95 years old.
Mary had a successful career as a buyer for Pillsbury working in downtown Minneapolis for 40 years. She was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Columbia Heights and later became a member of Epiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids. Mary, or Auntie Mary as so many people called her, loved family gatherings, making delicious desserts, and always sharing a wonderful story or two from the past. She will be missed by so many.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Ward, her father and mother Albert and Barbara Murzyn and her 7 siblings, John (Macka), Stanley, Joseph, Rose Mason (Russell), Anne Klis (Joseph), Edward and Donald, her nephews Russell Mason and Russell Murzyn.
She leaves behind her sisters-in-law Susan (Joseph), Pat (Edward) and Vicki (Donald), many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great, great nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends.
Mass of Christian Burial at Epiphany Catholic Church in Coon Rapids, MN at 10:30 AM with visitation at 9:30 am. A luncheon at the church will follow. She will be laid to rest at a private interment on July 12 at Fort Snelling next to her beloved husband, Tom. Memorials to Epiphany Catholic Church.
