Corey Oliver, 45, of Muncie, passed away on Tuesday, May 10th. He was born on February 14th, 1977, in Muncie to Debra Oliver.

Corey will always be remembered as a loving soul and beloved friend. The most important thing in his life was helping others. Those who were fortunate to call him a friend knew him to be kind-hearted, witty, thoughtful, and they understood that he genuinely cared about their well-being. He was a fantastic conversationalist, an extremely curious person, and had a smart sense of style. He had a particular fondness for bright, colorful socks.

Recently, Corey had spent a lot of time helping the other residents in his building in various ways, picking up trash around downtown, and feeding stray cats in his neighborhood. That's indicative of who he was at his core. His hobbies included music, movies, gaming, graphic novels, Lego, riding his bike, and learning about other people and the world.

Corey will be remembered by his mother, Debra, brother, Nicholas and his wife Lauren, grandmother, Mary, Aunt Gayla, Uncle Peter, and friends Kavon, Chelsea, Mikey, Gabe, and Lorraine. He will be missed by countless others including his cat Thackery; he impacted so many people and was a bright light for many people in an often dark world.
