Janice Lea Gorrell, 78, passed away in her beloved home on Tuesday, May 31, 2022. She was born on February 11, 1944, in Mulhall, Oklahoma, to Walter Roy and Velma Jane (Thomas) Andrews.
Janice graduated from Mulhall High School in 1962 and married the love of her life, Charles Wesley Gorrell, that summer on June 3rd. Janice thrived as a farmer's wife and mom of three boys. She adored helping around the farm and whether it was bringing lunches to fields or driving a tractor, she would do it all with a smile. Janice enjoyed working in her flower beds and took great pride in her well-manicured lawn. She not only could grow plants up from nothing more than sticks to breathtaking flowers but could do the same with people. As a result of this love for helping others, she was a founding member of the Mulhall-Orlando School Foundation to help ensure the best for all. Janice found a love for drawing and created collections of pictures that represented her family and places that were near and dear to her, as well as enjoyed spending afternoons playing cards with the Canasta Club. She was a member of the Mulhall United Methodist Church, where she played piano for many years, Westway Extension Homemakers Club, and served as the relief postmaster at the Mulhall Post Office for over 20 years.
Janice is greeted in heaven by her husband of 46 years, Charles, her parents Walter and Velma Andrews, and her brother Richard Roy Andrews.
