She was born June 25, 1945, in Springfield, the daughter of James and Helen "Darline" (Tibbs) McClure.
Sandra was a graduate of Harris High in Petersburg. She married Gerald Pope who preceded her in death in 1975. She later married Larry Taylor who preceded her in death in 1998. She worked for Joyce Meyer Ministries in Fenton, Missouri, from 1999 to 2015 and later for the gift shop at Lincoln's New Salem State Park. She enjoyed playing cards, working in her yard and was a friend to everyone. She had a great faith in and love for God.
Sandra is survived by six children, five daughters and their husbands and one son; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren and five her siblings, three brothers and two sisters and their husbands and two sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one grandchild.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2022, from 10 am to 12 pm at Hurley Funeral Home in Petersburg, Illinois. A service will follow beginning at 12 pm with Pastor Abraham Mogerman officiating. Burial will follow services at Salisbury Cemetery in Salisbury, Illinois.
