For 32 years he served the City of Monroe diligently as Superintendent of Streets, the same position his father had held before him. Both were highly respected members of the community, known for their competence and dedication. They were men who knew how to get things done and done well.

William Heath was a graduate of Parkwood High School and a Dale Earnhardt, Jr., NASCAR fan. He loved restoring vintage cars including a special, red '55 Chevrolet worthy of any car show.

To know William Heath was to know a friend. When he walked into the Palace or any of the other local restaurants he so enjoyed, he was among friends. They all knew his name. He was a good man whose life was full and well lived.

Memorial may be made to Hospice of Union County, 700 West Roosevelt Blvd
