Mr. William Edward Buford was born January 13, 1932 in Beckton, Kentucky. He was the son of Iman and Ethel (Fant) Buford. He was the second child of six children. William came to know the Lord at an early age. He received his formal education in Glasgow, Kentucky.
William was employed throughout the years since a young man raising tobacco in Kentucky on his parent's farm to multiple jobs where he was able to take care of his family. One of the biggest achievements in his endeavors was being a United States Army soldier, where he served in Vietnam.
On Friday December 6, 2019, Mr. William Edward Buford received eternal rest and peace at 11:36 p.m. at Roudebush VA Medical Center. He was blessed with eighty-seven years of life. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John G. Buford and W.C. Buford, a sister, Mary E. Buford, and his daughters, Sharon Denise Buford and Barbara J. Tyson.
He leaves to mourn his passing but forever cherish loving memories his wife, Minnie Marie (Jones) Buford; daughter Anita C. Buford; son William E. Buford Jr.; two brothers Irbel Buford and Elbert Buford; eleven grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
