Brett Anthony Jackson of Grapevine, TX, 52, husband of Lori Tate Jackson, died Sunday, March 27, 2022, after a short battle with cancer.
Funeral: 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Grapevine. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Lucas Funeral Home in Grapevine.

A beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother and Friend, he was born in Midland, grew up in Austin, and graduated from both Austin McCallum High School and Abilene Christian University. He was a member of the Lake Cities Church of Christ and the overly-proud father of 4 precious children, Breanne Jackson of New York, NY; Tate Jackson, Laci Jackson and Isabelle Jackson, all of Grapevine. Brett was an avid outdoorsman who shared boats and ventured on hunting trips with more friends and family than can be counted. He loved watching his kids perform on the stage, in the band and in the pool. In addition to his wife of over 27 years and his 4 children, he is survived by his parents, Lee and Pat Jackson of Leander, TX.; brother Brian Jackson (Kristi) of Round Rock, TX.; sister Amy Bruce (Grady) of Leander, TX.; Father and Mother-in-Law William D. and Betty Tate of Grapevine; sisters-in-law Sheri Thompson (Chad) of Grapevine, Keari Hatton (Michael) of Grapevine, Tami Pruett (Zack) of Plano and Kamara Cox (Rod) of Frisco; as well as nieces and nephews Luke Jackson, Keller Jackson, Lyla Kate Jackson, Jackson Bruce, Elayna Bruce, Jessica Bruce, Will Thompson, Kale Thompson, Ian Hatton, Ellee Hatton, Kate Pruett, Carly Pruett, Claire Pruett, Aubrey Cox, Ryleigh Cox, Hannah Cox, and Sarah Cox. Others left to cherish his memory include Uncles, Aunts and Cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Eugene and Mary Jackson, his maternal grandparents Woodrow and Mary Bryan, his Uncle Bruce Hagen, and his nephew Jaydan Thompson.
