She attended Riverwood High School and graduated with a Surgical Technologist Degree from DeKalb College. She met Price Potter at Callaway Gardens and they were married on June 25, 1983. They moved to Huntsville, AL, and after 7 years, moved back to Atlanta and settled in Dunwoody. After years of mentoring from her stepfather, Robert, she started her own company, Georgia Health Insurance, in 2006. She was preceded in death by her father, Bill Granger; stepfather, Robert Ryals; grandmother, Virginia Sosby; uncle, Morris Bryan; and nephew, Quinn Conley. Surviving are her mother, Dale Bryan Ryals; husband of almost 39 years, Price Potter and their three sons, Dale (named for his grandmother), Daniel and wife, Jenn, and their four children: Kaladin, Hailey, Braelynn, and Aubrey, and David and wife, Megan, and their child, Hadley. younger sister, Holly Conley; and niece, Shelly.
