EASLEY, SC - Sallie Lucretia Chapman Cantrell, 97, of 109 Leann Drive, widow of Lee Robert Cecil Cantrell, died Thursday, February 6, 2003, at Palmetto Health Baptist in Easley.

Born in the Zion community of Pickens County, Mrs. Cantrell was a daughter of the late Lemuel C. and Gabrella Fletcher Chapman. She was retired from Alice Manufacturing and was a member of United Wesleyan Church.

Surviving are two sons, Roy E. Cantrell of Easley and Lee Robert Cantrell of Six Mile; two daughters, Ruth Phillips of the home and Joan King of Statesville, North Carolina; a brother, Martin Chapman, of Easley; eight grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 3:30 p.m. today in the chapel of Robinson Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. Lawrence Keever. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park.

The body is at Robinson Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends today from 2 to 3:30 p.m., before the funeral.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to United Wesleyan Church, 203 Baker Road, Easley, SC 29640.

The family is at the home.
