Carl was born October 7, 1975 in San Saba, Texas to the late Elaine McHouston and Calvin Parks. He married Jeannie Parks on February 14, 1998 in Sweetwater, TX. He worked for Key Energy for 10 years.
He was a member of Faith Harvest Church in Sweetwater, TX. Carl was a loving and devoted father and grandfather. He will be remembered for his funny personality and BBQ-ing. He loved to fish, camp and BBQ.
He was survived by his wife, Jeannie Parks; daughter: Summer Oden and wife Celeste Malone, Danial Oden and girlfriend Ciara Hays and 5 children. Josh and Autum Hoover and 4 children, Danial Bruner and 1 child; brother-in-law, Dwayne and Bonnie Oden and 2 children; sister-in-law, Teresa and Monte Young and 3 children; brothers, Cheyenne Parks and Valerie Parks and 5 children, and Clint Parks and wife Jessica Parks and 3 children; 7 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Carl was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Parks and mother, Elaine McHouston.
Carl's wishes were to be cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
