Kimberly Lynn Smith, 52, passed peacefully on 6/1/22 following a valiant 3 year fight with cholangiocarcinoma. She was surrounded by family and friends.
Kimberly was predeceased by her father, Clarence Selin, Jr. She is survived by her husband, Kevin D. Smith, her children, Jarrod, Gavin, Selina and Trevor Smith, her brothers, Michael, Jeffrey, and Jonathon Selin, her mother, Jo Fleshood, her step-father, William Fleshood, and her step-mother, Lori Doyle. She is also survived by aunts, uncles and cousins.
Kimberly loved her work as a nationally certified sign language interpreter. She was also an active volunteer for her children's schools and sports organizations. She was always willing to step up and help. Throughout all four of her children's middle school years, she was the lead parent volunteer for the Cooper Middle School Reading Bowl, leading the team to several awards. She will be missed.
Services will be held at the West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Loving Arms which provides financial assistance and support groups to cancer victims.
