Jefferson – Chester M. Rohrbaugh, 94, husband of Mrs. Lizzie Auchey Rohrbaugh, this place, died at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hanover General Hospital where he had been a patient one week.
Mr. Rohrbaugh was a lifelong member of the United Church of Christ congregation of St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church. He also belonged to St. Jacob's Home department and to the Jefferson Fire Company.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by seven children, Mrs. Esther V. Brodbeck, Seven Valleys RD 2; Ruth E. Rohrbaugh, at home; Earl C. and Mark L. Rohrbaugh and Mrs. Naomi I. Rohrbaugh, all of Spring Grove RD 2; Mrs. Gladys A. Patterson, Mediapolis, Ia., and Mrs. Blanche L. Hansen, Hanover; 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and a brother and two sisters, Mrs. Tersie Bortner, Spring Grove; Clayton Rohrbaugh, Hanover, and Mrs. Mamie Runkle, Brodbeck RD 1.
Funeral services will be conducted tomorrow at 2 p.m. at the Geiple Funeral Home, Glen Rock, by his pastor, Rev. George A. Heisey, assisted by Rev. Dr. Kenneth S. Ehrhart, pastor of the Jefferson Lutheran parish. Interment will be in St. Jacob's (Stone) Union Church Cemetery.
