Kimberly Sue Yates, age 65 of Bon Aqua, TN died on Monday, May 30, 2022.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 2:00 PM until 5:00 PM at the Taylor Funeral Home. Following the visitation, Kimberly will be cremated. For those desiring, memorials may be made to Avalon Hospice.
Kim was born on August 20, 1956 in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. She was such a loving and caring person. She spent much of her time working as a sitter, friend and caregiver for the elderly and whoever was in need. Kim was a friend to everyone she met. Her love for helping others kept her connected to her community. Over the last 20 years, she coordinated and hosted numerous fund-raising benefits to help others. Kim loved her family; she treated each one like her "favorite".
She was preceded in death by her mother, Rachel Ann McKinney Dearborn; 2 children, Tony Portman and Tammy McCray; and a grandchild Harley Portman.
Kimberly Yates is survived by her father, Gregory Lester Dearborn; her husband, Dale Portman; her son, Kyle Portman (Hallie); daughters, Angela Neely (Danny), Sandy Franklin (Bill); sisters, Melinda Burkhalter, Kelli Lampe (Russell); brother, Richard Dearborn (Andrea); grandchildren, Dylan, William, Brandon, Nick, Alyssia, Brianna, Will, Jeff, Ashley, Emilya, Dominick; great grandchildren, John, Michelle, and Wes; and a great friend, Denny Kennedy.
