Ruth Ann Self, age 83, of Festus, Missouri, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Mercy Hospital Jefferson in Festus. She was born September 23, 1938, in St. Louis County, Missouri, the daughter of the late Emma Julia (nee Pearson) and Delmar James Chapman.
She is survived by her husband Edwin Self; daughter Jennifer Self of Festus; 2 sons Brian (Michelle) Self of French Village, Missouri, and Patrick (Patricia) Self of Festus; brothers Dale Chapman of Seabrook, Texas, and Thomas (the late Geri) Chapman of Wright City, Missouri; grandchildren Tyler Allison, Audrey, Wyatt, and Ethan Self.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a brother Richard Allen (Joyce survives of Georgia) Chapman, and sister Barbara Ellen McClelland.
She worked as a private Tax Preparer and was a member of Our Lady Church in Festus.
Memorials in her memory are preferred to the Paralyzed Veterans of America or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
