Obituary
Our beloved Shawna Delaine (Gibson) Moore passed unexpectedly in the early morning hours of April 10, 2022. She was in her favorite pajamas in her favorite spot next to the kitten she rescued 10 years ago. She was 58 years young. Shawna was the youngest of four, and was born in Anderson, Indiana on February 2, 1964. She graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1982 in Pendleton, Indiana. She attended Ball State University where she graduated with an A.A. degree in business. After stops in Florida and Nevada, she moved to Lompoc, California where she met her future husband of 27 years, Dale Moore. In 1994, Shawna and Dale moved to Las Vegas, NV where they were married the following year and started a family soon after. After 10 years in Las Vegas, an opportunity arose and they moved to Glenville, WV to help her brother, Thor, open a coffee shop. After the shop ran its course, she shared her nurturing touch with seniors and children alike working at the Senior Center and Headstart in Gilmer County. She was well-known for driving the short bus throughout the county. Shawna's next chapter began at Glenville State University working as an administrative assistant for Aramark dining services, where she touched many lives of students and coworkers alike. Her laughter and spirit were contagious, no matter where you were; if you heard her laugh, you laughed with her. She was the most radiant person that had an immense love for her flower garden, traveling, Friday night cookouts with friends and family, rock and roll, and so much more. She touched so many lives with her beautiful soul and we cherish the fact that everyone she met was impacted by her genuine positivity and larger than life personality.
Shawna is survived by her husband, Dale Moore, her oldest daughter, Kitric Moore-Broussard and husband, Austin, and her youngest daughter Keaton, all of Glenville, WV. She is also survived by her brother Thor Gibson of Glenville, and sister, Jonny Salyer, and husband, Randy, of St. Augustine, Florida and their son, Joshua. She is also survived by nephews, Jonathon Gibson and wife, Holly, and their son, Harrison; Daniel Gibson, and wife, Kait, and their sons Nehemiah and Joel, all of Indiana.
She is also survived by the following nieces, Sarah Payne and husband, Ryan, and Katie Gibson, all of Indiana. Also, by her sister-in-law Eileen Gibson of Indiana.
Shawna was preceded in death by her father, John Gibson Jr., mother Saragrace Gibson, and brother, Reid Gibson.
The family will be honoring Shawna's pure spirit and utmost joy with a celebration of life on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the WACO Center, Glenville, WV at 1:00pm. Shawna's favorite color was pink, so feel free to wear pink in her honor. In lieu of flowers, send flowers because she loved them.

Shawna's request for Cremation has been honored at Pat Boyle Funeral Home's On-Site Crematory.
